Open-source software and AI automation disclaimer
MagicPhone is an open-source automation tool, available under the MIT or Apache-2.0 license. It connects to AI models and services selected by the user and can execute instructions on the user’s device through the permissions and automation settings the user enables.
AI models can produce incorrect, unexpected, or harmful instructions. Software errors and changes in other applications can also cause unintended behavior. MagicPhone does not guarantee that model responses or automated actions will be accurate, safe, reliable, or suitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for the tasks you request, the services you connect, the permissions you grant, and the automation you enable. Review important actions, supervise automated tasks, protect sensitive information, and maintain appropriate backups. Enabling automatic access allows actions to proceed without individual approval.
MagicPhone is supplied “as is,” with no warranties, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Its authors, maintainers, contributors, and distributors disclaim liability, to the extent legally permitted, for losses or damage connected with the software, AI-generated instructions, or actions executed through it. These may include data loss, unintended changes or communications, account restrictions, financial loss, and service disruption.
Third-party models and services are subject to their providers’ own terms. This notice supplements the applicable open-source license and does not exclude any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
